There are a range of ferry services in Scotland, most of which are subsidised by the Scottish Government to maintain or improve the economic and social conditions in the Highlands and Islands.
The Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Service is operated by CalMac Ferries Limited. The network operates 28 routes serving 24 islands and linking 4 peninsulas. Northlink Ferries operate services in Orkney and Shetland between Aberdeen/Lerwick/Kirkwall and Scrabster/Stomness. Cowal Ferries Ltd operates a service between Gourock and Dunoon.
More information about these services can be found in the links on the left hand side of this page.
