Domestic Abuse Campaign poster 2006Women, children, young people and men - all across Scotland, people's lives are affected by domestic abuse.

The Scottish Government is committed to taking whatever steps necessary to raise awareness about domestic abuse, improve information about the scale & nature of the problem and ensure that women & their children get the protection & support they need.

Funding for 2008 to 2011 was announced by the Minister for Public Health, Shona Robison MSP, on Tuesday, 15 April 2008. This funding has been granted in respect of the Violence Against Women Funding Stream, the Children's Services - Women's Aid Fund and the Rape Crisis Specific Fund.
