Modernising Scientific Careers (MSC) 'Next Steps' Document
The MSC Next Steps Consultation Document was launched by Professor Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer, Department of Health, late afternoon on 26 November 2008. MSC is a UK wide initiative, which has been developed in partnership with the four UK countries. The consultation document sets out proposals to transform the future training and career pathways of the healthcare science workforce.
Responses will be analysed for the UK as a whole as well as by country to enable this UK initiative to be taken forward by the four countries in partnership with all major stakeholders, including patient groups, to ensure that the healthcare science workforce is fit for the future in a rapidly changing and evolving healthcare environment.
I would be grateful if you could ensure that Healthcare Science Staff within your NHS Board are made aware of this important document and encourage them to respond to the electronic consultation.
