Literature Review
Scrutiny of public services is a complex subject. In order to capture what has been written about it over the last few years, Professor Crerar has commissioned a comprehensive review of scrutiny literature. Sourcing from government reports, international literature, consultations with academics and academic publications, it investigates what the basic principles of effective scrutiny are. A significant piece of work; it has highlighted best practise models, gaps in the literature, and effective external scrutiny principles in different landscapes.
