Introduction
The Public Procurement Reform Board is an influential body and will discuss the complex and challenging issues raised by the procurement reform agenda. The Board will provide continued commitment and endorsement of the reform programme and will be responsible for setting a clear direction to all public sector bodies (thereby setting the framework for implementation of key parts of the programme overseen by the Procurement Reform Delivery Group. The Board will inform and be informed by the work of the change programmes, the Procurement Reform Delivery Group and the Public Procurement Advisory Group
Purpose
To provide strategic direction, support and monitor progress on the procurement reform agenda. The Board is also responsible for resolving risks and issues escalated by the Procurement Reform Delivery Group and will arbitrate any disputes that arise.
Remit
Its remit is to:
- oversee progress of the procurement reform agenda;
- provide the programme mandate and investment decision;
- create an environment in which the programme can thrive;
- provide continued commitment and endorsement of the reform programme;
- monitor progress of the programme against its strategic objectives; and
- provide visible leadership and commitment to the programme at communication events.
