Geography Steering Group

The Geography Steering Group was set up in 2003 as a high-level group to co-ordinate the development of the geographic information infrastructure within the Scottish Executive. This was to ensure that mechanisms were developed to maintain efficient, effective and sustainable management of geographic information across the Scottish Executive for the benefit of Scotland and its people. Specifically the Geography Steering Group is responsible for delivery of the geographic information strategy for Scotland: 'One Scotland - One Geography'.
