THE FUTURE OF SCOTLAND'S FISHING RIGHTS
A DISCUSSION WITH STAKEHOLDERS
.
A major review of the management of one of Scotland's national assets - its fish quota - will be the focus of meetings around the coast of Scotland.
These proposals are designed to help safeguard Scotland's traditional fishing rights for future generations of fishermen.New proposals for future fish quota management and licensing arrangements in Scotland, were published for consultation in May.
Our proposals are intended to put fishermen at the heart of management, balance the needs of business and communities, and provide greater certainty to fishermen in Scotland that they will be able to access quota.
To help us improve the management of our fishing rights, the Scottish Government is seeking views and ideas from all those with an interest in this important asset to Scotland.
Our final public meetings will be:
