These website pages are maintained by the Biodiversity Policy Team based in the Scottish Government's Rural Directorate. It is dedicated to the provision of information relating to the conservation and enhancement of biodiversity in Scotland.
The team are responsible for policies to conserve Scotland's biodiversity as set out in the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy, and on Scotland's contribution to the UK's national and international committments.
The Biodiversity Implementation Team work on behalf of the Scottish Biodiversity Forum to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy Implementation Plans. They also administer the Biodiversity Action Grants Scheme from 2006 onwards.
