Sustainable Seas for All - A Consultation on Scotland's First Marine Bill
Invitation to a Public Meeting
On July 14 the Scottish Government launched its Sustainable Seas for All - A consultation on Scotland's first Marine Bill. The proposals contained in the consultation will form the framework for the forthcoming Scottish Marine Bill.
The proposals include:
- Improved conservation for Scotland's marine wildlife
- A new marine planning system and streamling of the licensing system
- Measures to ensure a viable future for Scotland's traditional and new marine industries
- Creation of Marine Scotland - a new body to act as champion of Scotland's seas
The Forth Estuary Forum in conjunction with the Scottish Government is organising a meeting in Musselburgh to allow Forum members and the general public an opportunity to hear more about the proposed details of Scotland's first Marine Bill.

Please come along to this event to find out more about this important piece of marine legislation. The meetings will include presentations from members of the Scottish Government Marine Directorate involved in drafting the legislation and an opportunity to ask questions on the details of the proposals.
