The Scottish Government has launched a public consultation on proposals for Scotland's first Marine Bill, which include
- a new marine planning system and streamlining of the licensing system
- measures to ensure a viable future for Scotland's traditional and new marine industries
- creation of Marine Scotland - a new body to act as champion of Scotland's seas
- improved conservation for Scotland's marine wildlife
Now is the chance to have your say on the future of Scotland's seas.
The Moray Firth Partnership, in conjunction with Scottish Government, invites you to a public meeting to hear about and discuss proposals for Scotland's First Marine Bill. Delegates will have the opportunity to question Scottish Government Marine Directorate officials who have been involved in drafting the proposals.
