Review of AEBC
On 27 May 2004 the Government announced a review of the Agriculture and Environment Biotechnology Commission (AEBC). The AEBC provide Government with independent strategic advice on developments in biotechnology and their implications for agriculture and the environment.
It is a routine requirement to periodically review Non Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs) as part of the Government's commitment to their quality and continuous improvement.
An Independent Reviewer, Dr Neil Williams, was appointed to conduct the review.
The Independent Reviewers report was published on 2 December 2004.
