AGRICULTURE STRATEGY GROUP 2005

Following a decision to refresh and refocus the Agriculture Strategy, the Agriculture Strategy Group (ASG) was established. Its overarching objective is to review and update the 2001 Strategy and to develop a strategy which builds on what has already been achieved and responds to recent developments in agricultural support.

The Group's first meeting took place on 8 March 2005 when its terms of reference were agreed. Agenda, papers and minutes from all the Group's meetings are available in the ASG meetings section. The ASG is chaired by the Minister for Environment and Rural Development and comprises:
