Action 54

"A cross-sector group, similar in composition to the Agriculture Strategy Steering Group, will continue to meet for the next two years to advise the Minister for Environment and Rural Development on the implementation of this Strategy. The Strategy lists detailed action points. The Group will monitor progress on them, identify ways of measuring their success and review the Strategy in the light of experience."

Progress

The Agriculture Strategy Implementation Group was established in March 2002. It is chaired by the Minister for Environment and Rural Development and meets roughly once every three months. A wide range of interests are represented by the individuals who sit on the Group. Membership comprises:-
