Progress
The FarmBASS Whole Farm Review Scheme, set up under the
auspices of A National Strategy for Farm Business Advice
and Skills, includes a skills audit within the context of
the wider business review. See
Action 2 for further details.
SEERAD is also working with the Enterprise Networks to
provide additional benchmarking and skills training
opportunities for farmers.
The framework needed by farmers and their business
advisers to assess skills needs is now in place and SEERAD
will continue to encourage the industry to make use of
them. Farmers now need to grasp those opportunities as part
of their future business development.
